Tsitsikamma Backpackers is 4 star eco-friendly tranquil backpackers situated in Stormsriver Village, the heart of the Tsitsikamma along the Garden Route. We have a range of luxurious accommodation from double en suite rooms to tented units in our indigenous garden. We can offer meals on request or one can make use of the communal kitchen. We also have an entertainment area with bar and indoor and outdoor braai area, perfect to braai some local meat or try our famous lamb potjie!

We have a host of local activities like the Bloukrans bungy jump, Tsitsikamma Canopy tours, guided and unguided hikes, cycling, hiking, Stormsriver Mouth, Blackwater tubing and much more… We provide shuttles to all the local activities and are a Baz Bus stop.
We only employ locally and make sure that we do our part to conserve the environment. We use solar geysers, energy saving bulbs throughout the backpackers, recycle all the waste and have a magnificent indigenous garden that uses recycled water. Two of our staff have completed their FGASA filed studies and can take you on amazing guided hikes and entertain all with star gazing at night.

Loved it here. Very beautiful place, helpful staff, spotless rooms. They have info on trips, but aren’t pushy. The hostel is owned by the local community, so the profits stay in the local area, so another good reason to stay there!
